Hello,

My name is Ace Mcwhite, you may call me Ace.

For me there is nothing like Luis Miguel and Jose Feliciano for the Bolero Music.
Luis Miguel "Lo Mejor de Mi" and Jose Feliciano's "Senor Bolero" or "Si Me Comprendieras (Bolero). Try to look in YouTube. It should be there.

If you need more music suggestions, you may contact me at dancepavilion@aol.com. We are also in Facebook.

Have Fun.

Ace

Ibrahim Ferrer (he's the great singer on the Buena Vista Social Club recordings) made a recording of Boleros called "Mi Sueo". I think "Bolero"refers to the musical form. Some of the songs don't have the right tempo to DANCE Bolero, but some of them do. "Dos Almas" is one of the good ones. His "Perfidia" meets your requirement of hot/sultry, but I think it's a little fast for dancing Bolero. But you may like the tempo. And I'm pretty sure you'll like all the music on this CD.

There was a typo in the name of the Ibrahim Ferrer recording I mentioned. "Mi Sueno" (there is a ~ above the n; I tried to type it that way but it didn't work) is the correct name.

Try:

1) Cafe Quijano
Album (Origenes: El Bolero Vol.1)

It's new original and good, good

2) Natalie Cole
(Acercate mas, Cuando vuelva a tu lado (good, good), Cachito (Nat "King" Cole))

Less know, but excellent:

3) Los Tri-O

(Adoro, Mia, Romance, No, etc)

And Traditional:

4) Felipe Pirella
(Sombras nada mas,Unicamente tu, La ultima copa)

5) Others:
(Perfidia from Baila tu ritmo latino), ideal for dance
(Tamara: si nos dejan)
(Ana Belen: No se por que te quiero)
(Juan Gabriel y Rocio Durcal: Tu me dijiste adios)
(Alejandro Fernandez: Cuando ya no me quieras, Perfume de gardenias)

Greeting from Spain

Thank you everyone!! I will check out all the listings.

Terence2 - I have no preference as to lady or male singers. Just looking for the "right" song to dance to.

Keep the ideas coming! I don't start practice until a few months. I like to have everything well thought out before it's time to get to work.

If we want to see how the Bolero was originally danced to music. Google. George Raft." Bolero" for the film clip. Also Slavik does a decent job. Both are not as you probably think the Bolero to be.
