Hi Mike,

Videos are available in the Learning Center, under "Learn the Dances". From there, simply select a dance, then scroll down a bit and look for a tab entitled "Featured Steps". There you will see a list of featured steps. Click on the name of any step and you will then see the information page for that step. Each step page has at least one video, which will start playing automatically. In addition to the featured steps, you can see a complete syllabus of steps, bronze through gold level, by bypassing the featured steps and clicking on the "Complete Syllabus" link from the dance info page.

If videos do not play automatically, keep the following things in mind, and you can probably remedy the situation:

(1) Videos available to the general public are those of the featured steps, as well as most of the steps in the first level of each dance (e.g. beginning bronze). Videos from the second level (e.g. intermediate bronze) are available for free, as long as you've signed up for a free basic membership and are currently logged in. All other videos are available to Premium members only.

(2) Videos require a lot of data to be piped in to your computer. If you're on a slower connection, or one that's spotty (like a celphone with less-than-stellar reception), video can be slow to load. If you suspect this might be the case, try waiting a little longer for the video to load before assuming it's not working.

(3) By default, videos on our main website require the Adobe Flash Player. This is installed on many computers right out of the box, but if it's not on yours, it can be downloaded and installed on a Mac or Windows PC by visiting http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer. As an alternative, you can also use the Apple Quicktime Player. This is installed on all Macintosh computers by default, but if you're on Windows, you'll probably need to download and install it by going to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/.

(4) If you're on a mobile device, you may get mixed results with the full site. Apple iOS devices like iPhone and iPad require you to use Quicktime (Flash is not supported), but your best option is to use our mobile site at https://mobile.ballroomdancers.com/. This works much more consistently on mobile devices, especially Apple ones.

Let me know if you have any more quetions.

Jonathan Atkinson
