In the book "Latin technique", 6th edition, of Walter Laird, Samba section, page 105, the author has described about the Carioca Runs, used to be an entrance for the Samba.
I am looking for a video clip to see how the Carioca Runs is done or guided, but can not find. Very appeciated if anyone can help.

Is this really the figure described in Laird's book?

Laird states that there is no Bounce Action during his Carioca Runs, and mentions a flick at the end of the SLOW, while this couple does something that looks almost like a bounced Volta, with a leg pointing straight on the start of the SLOW..
Also, the steps seem quite different.. maybe there are different figures known as Carioca Runs..

Yes, this is not Carioca Runs which Walter Laird figured in his book.
