Yes, this is doable, and I know people who do it. Be open with all parties who are instructing you about where else you are getting instruction. Be wary of anyone who doesn't want you to learn more, or from more than one source. Also be wary that if you take American and International, sometimes the technical principles will clash. Your teacher(s) should be able to explain the reason, though sometimes the reason is not especially good. I'm happy to speak more on this if you like.
