I am looking for a place in Atlanta that offers Ballroom Dancing classes. After 2 years, I have finally gotten my boyfriend to agreee to take lessons with me. PLEASE help!!!!

www.hotlantadance.com Eddie Ares is the best teacher in the Atlanta area. But also look at http://www.dancecityballroom.com/ That is the studio he teaches out of and they have several teachers that would be glad to help begginers out

These are a few links to studios that provide dance instruction. The first is run by Kathryn Schaffer, a personal acquaitance of mine and a very good instructor and person.

There is also the HOTLANTA dance studio that is oft-represented all over the country in competitions, but I could not find a link for them. Just check your yellow pages perhaps.

Kath. specializes in Intern style, and, I would guess you might want/need social style . If that be the case, then then may I suggest you first take some class work with different teachers, and then make you decision based upon your likes. I taught there for many years, and for your needs, I would suggest George Morales. He is one of the best all rounders, in styles, from salsa to Waltz..
