Biography

Mikhail was born in Perm, Russia, the oldest of 3 brothers. He began dancing at the tender age of 5, having been introduced to ballroom dancing by his parents. He first traveled to London at 13, and in less than a year had won the very prestigious Blackpool competition as a junior.

Mikhail moved away from home at 17 to attend the Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts in Moscow. He continued dancing as an amateur in Moscow, winning several national championships. He represented his country at world events and team matches, and ultimately made the finals of the world championships. In 2006 Mikhail moved to the United States and began teaching and competing as a professional, and he continues to do so today.

Olga was born in Moscow. A very active and inquisitive child, she chose to enroll in music and dance lessons at the age of 8. When her godfather brought her to watch her first dance competition, she fell in love. After many years competing as an amateur and winning numerous titles, Olga turned professional in 2008. She continued to compete professionally, placing in the final at the IPDSC World Championship and twice being vice champion of the IPDSC World Cup.

In 2010 Olga moved to the United States to dance with Mikhail. They had known each other for many years prior in Russia, but it wasn't until Mikhail returned from the states for a try-out that they first danced together as partners. It was an instant success, and the pair now represents the United States, teaching and competing together across the country. They are based in Los Angeles, California, teaching at the Westmor studio in Los Angeles, Best Studio in Walnut, and Avant-Garde Studio in Irvine.

When they're not dancing, they enjoy many other activities including golf, skiing, scuba diving, reading and travel. A little know fact about Olga: She's also an attorney, having graduated law school in Russia.
