Interesting. It looked like a sort of cross between silver American style and Country Western Waltz. The couple is actually surprisingly smooth. It also reminds me of a style I was once shown years ago, called Slicker Dancing, which if I remember correctly is also sort of a variation of American smooth danced entirely on toes.

These are the kinds of regional variations we seldom see anymore, now that everything is so standardized. Thanks for the link.

One can find many references to cross step waltz online, but what is slicker dancing? That's a tough one to reference.

" Slicker " is a free form of W/F.trot developed in Calif in the 30/40s, much akin to Amer. style Silver Smooth
