I have noticed over the last two months that your server is getting slow. The video streaming takes a long time and pauses a lot. It was not doing this a year ago??? I do not have problems on other websites.

Nothing has changed over the past couple of months, except the fact that we've added more videos. However, the vast majority of new videos are premium, and premium videos only account for about 15% of the overall video traffic. Also, looking at the stats, I don't see a huge increase in usage in recent months. So unless there's suddenly a heavy increase in bootleg traffic, or our web hosting company has quietly throttled our traffic without telling us, I can't think of anything that has changed on this end.

I can tell you that we do plan to move the premium content to a dedicated streaming video server. This will be good news to premium members, who should see a considerable performance increase. Non-premium users might notice a slight improvement, since we'll be shifting 15% of the traffic away from the main server.

I am sitting here at 12:30 am in San Diego, so I don't think I have heavy usage on my internet line a this time of night. And yet the streaming video is very slow...It is pausing over 60 seconds every 5-10 seconds to catch up. Is there anything else I can try. I think I am a premium user.....

Can you run programs on your side to see if your streaming video runs at the expected speed??
