I RENEWED MY USER ACCOUNT ALREADY. WHY DO I KEEP GETTING MORE REMINDERS TO RENEW?

These are some of the reasons that you might get a reminder email after renewing:

(1) You have two user accounts, and you renewed the wrong one. The renewal notices don't currently tell you which account needs to be renewed, so if you have more than one, try renewing the other one.

(2) You only think you renewed your account. If you logged in to your user account and clicked the link to renew, then closed the page, you didn't finish the job. Some people don't read the [not so] fine print... you must follow the link and update your user info before your renewal date is updated.

Also, some people take a look at their user info, but then don't click the "update" button because they see that their user info hasn't changed and assume that the update isn't necessary. But simply looking at your user info isn't good enough. So even if your user info hasn't changed, you still have to click that update button, or the account is not renewed.

If you tried to renew your user account but the "submit" button was literally missing from the page altogether, follow this link.

(3) If you have a classified ad or directory listing, renewing the ad or listing is NOT the same thing as renewing your user account. From the user control panel main page, be sure to click the "renew" link under your user account info, not the one under your partner/teacher/costume ad.

If you have read the above list and feel that none of the circumstances described apply to you, feel free to contact us and we will look into the matter further.

Unfortunately, that's actually an issue that's beyond my control. More and more programs which claim to give you a "better web surfing experience" actually do just the opposite. I'm speaking, of course, about banner ad blocking software. Often times it blocks any photo that remotely resembles a banner ad, and sometimes it blocks photos that don't. For example, our submit buttons are actually photos that look like buttons, but some banner ad software conceals them anyway.

So the solution to your problem is simple: Disable your ad blocking software, or at least configure it to exclude our website. If you don't know how, I probably can't help because I may not have your software, but let us know what software you have anyway... someone on this message board may be able to help you.

One other work-around you might try: Click your cursor into one of the text fields and hit the [enter] or [return] key on your keyboard. In some browsers (most notably IE) this will sumbit the form. Make sure that you click into a single-line text field... in a multi-line field, the [enter] key will simply advance you to the next line.

I was just sent my user name and password from you because I forgot it; yet when I tried to renew, I was told they weren't in your data base.

Read the above messages -- the same applies to you. You have more than one user account, and you have been renewing the wrong one.
