Re: Link in Tango

SocialDancer. Will I explain what I consider is a Promenade Position. Gladly. The Promenade position is after the conection of the ladies right knee and the man's left are no longer touching. With many of you I dont think they were ever touching.
Which brings me to the main fault which is. If we do Two Walks and a Progressive Link, the step into the Progressive Link is, or could become another Walk exactly. The fault is because you know you are going into a Link the step gets taken too far to the left making it almost impossible to do a Link corectly, consiquently the step becomes open and the knees too far apart
You will save yourself and the people you teach a lot of trouble if you simply go to Jonathan's video clip on Learn The Dances , then International Style Tango, then Progressive Link. Do it exactly as demonstrated and you will be well on your way
For anybody who does the Australian New Vogue " Tango Terrific " would be well adviced to also look at that same clip. In the dance there are five positions where you should look exactly as in the fore mentioned video clip Especialy after the Contre Check and at the end after the Oversway to start again before you separate.
Anonymous. You are being very childish bringing in dialgue which has nothing to do with the subject on hand.
