Dance is a series of connected steps, not a series of disconnected steps.

Never stop dancing. Even if your movement is almost inperceptible. As AM says, slowly continue the positoning of your body ready for the next step, breathe in slowly, adjust the flex of your knees, tilt your leading foot ready for the start of the next figure, move your head to look in the direction you are going to go. Give the impression your are internally winding up a large spring ready to move off on the next step. But less is more, dont overdo it.
If you have a long pause, such as waiting for the start of a phrase, think about using something like the "Hilton Head Flick" discussed elsewhere in this forum.

Hi,

Why that ?

I thought this is a very interesting conversation. This proves that my question was a bit relevant.

I also appreciate the answer of TangoFandango

Thank you all to your answers

When I dance Intl Tango and execute slow step (for example at the end of a promenade)

I think some of the posts are talking about the walks instead of the exit of the link. I think the original post is about the first step of a promenade close for instance. I think the question was asked poorly. I just wanted to clarify it since it says for example at the end of a promenade. On the first step of the promenade close there is no CBM since its in promenade.

Your last statement is contradictory.

If its " closed " then thats what it is..

To answer BOTH postions.. IF the 1st slow from Prom is the Question.. then obviously there is NO CBM .

IF its the 1st step after the Prom. has been closed ( S ) then that would be in CBMP.

AS an afterthought ( which points to the posters clarity ? ).
" the end of etc"

Possibly the closing foot on the Closed Prom.(?).. I guess clarification from the poster is needed .

I would like to clarify my question.

It is, mainly, the slow step at the end of figures like close promenade and so on

Your advices are very interesting for me. Thank you all for your comments.

Hi terence2,

I only want to correct my way of dancing tango which seems to be to jerky like I said in my first message.

Thats difficult to assess, without seeing you dance.. there could be several reasons .
