both VeryFine and Burju make good shoes, especially for salsa. you will want maybe a 2.5" heel (pretty standard for a dancing heel). a suede bottom will definitely help you to spin and navigate the dance floor, and like Ladydance said, satin will wear faster than the suede will. keep in mind also that if you get a suede sole, you will want to have a shoe brush also. you can get those for 10$ or so on most websites or dance studios. like room said, pay attention to the sizing. some sellers will ask you to get a shoe a size or two smaller than your street shoes. also, pay attention to whether they come in UK or US sizes. so unless there's a dance shoe store or a studio that you can investigate first, your best bet for buying a shoe may just be to look around online.
