Sadly in the U.S. you can watch 1 video on ballroom dancing and hang a sign on your door front that you are a ballroom teacher.

If you dance NDCA you can not take money for teaching and compete as an amateur.

If you dance the USA Dance program students (non professionals) are teaching and getting paid AND can still calling themselves non professionals when the compete.
