I am hoping that someone out there will know where I can find the version of the song Bali Hai that Luca and Lorraine Baricchi use to perform a demo of FoxChatrot..........I viewed the video on YouTube (search Luca and Lorraine Baricchi and it shows up in a list). This version of the song is more uptempo than the original (from the musical South Pacific) and sort of jazzy.............it's really fun. I thought I saw Bali Hai listed in the dance CD's sold on this site,but now I can't find it.
In My senior year in high school (28 years ago!) I played the part of a Polynesian dancer in the school's production of South Pacific, so it would mean so much to me if I could find this song for a showcase number. Thank You.

I did a search on our song database, and the only version of Bali Hai that came up was an International Rumba on The Latin Mix 2.

I doubt this is what you're looking for, but it's the only one I have. Perhaps others here may have more information about your Foxtrot version.

Check on iTunes; there are many versions of Bali Hai. I didn't have time to review them all, but there is a "Broadway goes Latin" album by Tony Evans and his orchestra that has a version similar to the one in the video. Also, one by Claude Blouin with a latin beat. Good luck.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to some music and replying to my search request. I listened to both of the songs you suggest and I love them both. In fact, I just placed an order for the CD's. There were also so many other good songs on both of those CD's, good classic ballroom dance music. I did find the particular version of the song I am looking for.......It's on "Blackpool, my Blackpool"....I am looking for a source to buy the CD now. It's awesome.

I guess you saw the Baricchi FoxChatrot demo......what did you think? I never liked foxtrot until I saw that dance.
