Not all dance steps have videos. The ones that do have a video icon on the syllabus page (e.g.
https://www.ballroomdancers.com/Dances/syllabus.asp?Dance=ECS).
You will also notice on the dance step page that there is a placeholder for videos with a list next to it. If the list box is empty, it means no videos exist for the step. If you see a list of videos on the dance step page, and at least one of them is enabled (i.e. not grayed out), then you should be able to view the video. If you can't, then there may be something about your computer configuration that's not allowing you to see it. Some examples of reasons for this are:
-- You don't have JavaScript enabled on your browser.
-- You don't have the latest Flash Player installed (our video player requires Flash player 9 or later).
-- You have a firewall or other piece of software blocking the connection.
By the way, the "grayed out" videos are disabled for a reason, which should be stated right on the video link in the list on the dance step page. If you see one that says "log in or register to view this video", then you can enable it yourself by either logging in to your user account, or signing up if you don't already have one. If you see one that says "Coming soon...", it will be part of our premium membership service which will be available at the beginning of next year.
iPhone users please note: Our videos use the Flash Player, which is not available for iPhone. However, we are currently working on an iPhone app that will allow you to browse our syllabus, including the videos, in a more phone-friendly way. Stay tuned for updates.
