Im trying to learn the quickstep dance from last weeks dancing with the stars, 5/2/11. If anyone knows where i can find information on the steps to that dance that would be great.

Find a good professional...take it to them and they will splice and dice it for you and teach you how to actually do the steps. Quickstep is technically exacting and you can easily fall down or hurt your partner if you aren't doing the steps right.

The dances performed on the show are choreographed competition amalgamations. Very few people start off that way in learning any dance (it would be like saying you want to learn to play basketball the way NBA players play the game, right away). Quickstep is fundamentally an International dance, and the ISTD or IDTA syllabus (virtually identical) will give you all the information about the patterns--except for the "tricks" that are fun for audiences to watch but don't impress the judges very much. The advice to find a good professional and take lessons is good advice.

I would not start trying to learn a routine like that as it will take a lot of hours and will be demanding. Find a good teacher and work through the IDTA syllabus to learn the steps and technique required for the dance. However if you still want to learn that routine finding a professional to deconstruct it for you and teach it to you is excellent advice.
