Sweating too much...

I basically sweat a lot when I exercise and hydrated. As everyone knows, the more advanced you get in ballroom, the more muscles you are using, hence more sweat. I am okay with sweating a lot during practice, and my partner doesn't have a problem with that neither. Yet I think this will cause a problem on the competition floor, especially with my heavy make-up. In the past, I tried to cope with it by dehydrating myself in the week of competition, but I figured out this is not good for my body. So now my question is what I should/can do to help me sweat less? Does anyone out there have a similar problem? Any helps will be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Ruth

Hi Babyruth,

Unfortunately, if you sweat too much, you sweat too much. I don't believe there is anything that can be done about that. I tend to sweat a lot too while competing. If you use good stage makeup, you shouldn't have a problem. I use MAC studio fix which stays extremely well. It also does a great job of hiding how red I get! Couple that with waterproof eyeliner and mascara, and you should be fine.

After every round, blot your face with a towel and keep yourself cool with a fan.

If I hear of any other products or ideas, I'll pass them along.
