How are some good ways to end a waltz dance? My fiancee and I took some ballroom classes last winter and we are getting married at the end of the week and don't remember the finishing moves. Any help appreciated!!

There are various ways. You could end with an underarm turn and a bow. Or you could end with a hug and maybe a kiss??...I always feel it is nicer to end together in an embrace, but that is just personal opinion.

If you are already in closed position dance a box. Man's weight on Right. Woman's on Left. Side step to man's Left. Small dip (Sit) to Man's left. Recover, kiss and inside roll out to side by side and walk off together.

Note on dip...

Lady makes sure side step to her Right is a good sized step so it will stay under her body. Also keeps head straight with spine. Spine more vertical than horizontal. Think sit not lean back. As lady rotates to "Sit" position keep weight on ball of right foot and rotate foot so knee will bend properly.

Make sure the kiss is after the lady recovers and is standing. As lady "Sits" man should keep up and use great posture in order to accent the lady's movement.

If done properly Lady will support her own weight during the sit. Otherwise it's way too easy for someone to lose balance. It's not really great when both wind up in a pile on the floor while the video is running.
