2b. Whisk w/ Lady's UAT R&L Whisks can be danced by the man while leading the lady to turn underarm to her right or left. He can lead an underarm turn to right while dancing a Whisk to left, or an underarm turn to left while dancing a Whisk to right. When executing the turn, the lady's foot positions are that of a Spot Volta. The figure as outlined in the man's and lady's charts is a 4-measure combination, beginning with the Whisk with Lady's Underarm Turn to Right. This is followed by two basic Whisks, finishing on the last measure with the Whisk with Lady's Underarm Turn to Left. This combination is highly recommended as a teaching tool for beginners, as it allows recovery time between the lady's turns. However, ultimately it is not necessary to dance them in this combination, as each turn stands alone as a self-contained movement.
