8. Traveling Bota Fogos Backward

A Bota Fogo is a pattern consisting of a forward or backward walk on count "1", followed by a pressure step to the side on counts "a2".

Traveling Bota Fogos Back are taken in closed position with the man moving backward and lady moving forward. The first step in each measure is taken with lady outside partner, turning 1/4 on the pressure step to switch from one side of partner to the other. When repeated, the result is a progressive zig-zag pattern.

The favored ending, as illustrated in the man's and lady's charts, is a Botafogo ended in promenade position beginning with man back on his left foot.
